Notra Terms of Use
Last updated: ⟦date it goes live⟧
These terms are an agreement between you and Acey Ventures Ltd (company number 17376567, 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ), the company that makes Notra. Contact: [email protected].
1. Using Notra
You must be 18 or over. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe and for activity on your account.
2. What Notra does
You write workout notes; Notra uses AI to turn them into structured training data, shows your progress and insights, and (on Pro) answers questions through Coach. Our Privacy Policy explains how your data is used.
3. AI and health
Notra's insights, summaries and Coach replies are generated automatically and can be wrong or incomplete. Notra is not medical advice and isn't a substitute for a doctor, physiotherapist or qualified coach. Check with a professional before starting a new programme or training through pain or injury. You decide what weight to lift and how to train.
4. Your content
Your notes are yours. You give us permission to store, process and display them, and to send them to our providers (including our AI provider), only to run and improve Notra. This permission ends when you delete your account, apart from what remains in short-term backups. Don't write anything in Notra you don't have the right to share.
5. Fair use
Don't misuse Notra: don't try to break or get around its security or usage limits, access other people's data, use automated tools to send requests, copy or resell the app, or use Coach to produce anything unlawful or harmful. We may limit, suspend or close accounts that do.
6. Free and Pro plans
- Notra has a free plan with daily and monthly limits, and a paid plan, Notra Pro, sold as a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription through Apple.
- Payment is taken by Apple when you confirm. Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. This doesn't affect your legal rights.
- If we change the price, Apple will tell you beforehand and you can cancel before it applies.
- We may change what's included in each plan for a valid reason (such as cost, security or legal requirements). If a change significantly reduces what you've paid for, we'll tell you in advance and you can cancel before it applies.
7. Changes and availability
We're always improving Notra, so features may change. We aim to keep Notra available but can't promise it will always work without interruption. If we stop offering Notra, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice, a way to get a copy of your data, and a refund for any unused part of an annual subscription.
8. Ending your account
You can delete your account any time in Settings (this doesn't cancel your Apple subscription — do that in your App Store settings). We may close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we learn you're under 18.
9. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't legally be limited, including your rights as a consumer. Otherwise, we're not responsible for losses that weren't reasonably foreseeable, or for losses caused by how you choose to train based on Notra's insights or Coach replies, and our total responsibility to you is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem arose, or £100.
10. Apple
If you got Notra from the App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for Notra, its content, maintenance or support, or for any claims about it. Apple and its subsidiaries can enforce these terms as third-party beneficiaries. If these terms and Apple's agreement conflict, these terms apply unless Apple's terms require otherwise.
11. Changes to these terms
We'll only change these terms for a valid reason (such as new features, legal requirements or security). We'll tell you about significant changes in the app at least 30 days before they apply. If you don't agree, you can stop using Notra and cancel your subscription before then.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live outside England and Wales, you keep the protection of your local consumer laws and can bring claims in your local courts.
